Privacy Policy

Welcome to DailyGrowers — a community built by plant lovers, for plant lovers. We take your privacy seriously and have written this policy in plain language so you actually understand what we do with your information. If you have any questions, you can always reach us at contact@dailygrowers.com.

We only collect what we need to run the platform:

• Account information: Your email address and username, used to identify your account and display your public profile.
• Profile information: An optional avatar photo and bio that you choose to share.
• Grow diary content: Plant names, weekly notes, photos, and measurements that you voluntarily post.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views and feature usage, collected in aggregate to improve the app. We do not build individual user profiles from this data.

Your data is used exclusively to provide the DailyGrowers plant-tracking service:

• To create and maintain your account
• To display your public grow diaries to the community (only entries you mark as public)
• To send you important account notifications (password resets, security alerts)
• To improve and fix bugs in the app based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not share your personal information with any third party except as described in section 4.

We use a small number of trusted services to run the platform:

• Google Authentication (Google OAuth 2.0): We use Google Sign-In solely as a convenient and secure way to log in. When you use “Continue with Google,” Google confirms your identity and shares only your email address with us. We do not receive your Google password or any other Google account data. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data during this process.
• Supabase: Our database and file storage provider, hosted in the EU. Supabase stores your account data and uploaded photos under strict security controls.
• Vercel: Our hosting provider. They process web requests but do not have access to your stored personal data.

Photos you upload are stored securely and used only to display them in your grow diary. You own your content. You can delete any photo or diary entry at any time from your account settings, and it will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Diary entries marked as public are visible to all visitors. Entries marked as private are visible only to you when signed in.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), Row Level Security on our database (users can only access their own data), and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable precaution to protect your information.

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information in your profile
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Export your diary data (contact us for a data export)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@dailygrowers.com and we will respond within 30 days.

We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in (a secure session token). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

DailyGrowers is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
