Alocasia Pink Dragon vs Zebrina

Both of these Alocasias are bought for their stems, and that is exactly where they differ. Zebrina's petioles are patterned in zebra stripes but are long, thin and weak — in anything less than strong overhead light they stretch and flop. Pink Dragon's petioles are a solid pink-burgundy and considerably sturdier, and its thicker leaves hold up better in ordinary room conditions.
