Anthurium Clarinervium vs Crystallinum
These two velvet-leaved Anthuriums are constantly mislabelled in shops, and they are genuinely hard to tell apart on a young plant. The reliable difference is the leaf itself: Clarinervium is thicker, stiffer and rounder with very wide white veins, while Crystallinum is thinner, larger and more elongated with finer silver venation. That thickness also explains the care difference β Clarinervium holds water better and forgives more.

The Verdict
Start with Clarinervium. The thicker leaf is a real buffer: it tolerates a missed watering and a dry week where Crystallinum would deform its next leaf. Move to Crystallinum once you have humidity you can rely on, because below about 70% it will keep producing smaller, crumpled leaves no matter what else you do right.
