Leaves develop a mottled mosaic pattern with distorted, narrow, sometimes shoestring-like shape, and fruit shows characteristic concentric ring-shaped water-soaked spots.

A white powdery coating develops on leaf surfaces, typically in humid conditions, weakening affected leaves and reducing overall vigour.

Small, water-soaked spots appear on ripening fruit, expanding into sunken, dark lesions, often with a pink-orange spore mass visible in humid conditions.

The tree wilts and declines rapidly, sometimes with a water-soaked lesion visible at the base of the trunk, and can collapse entirely within weeks.
