Brown Edges Along Spider Plant Leaves

The edges (margins) of leaves turn brown and dry, distinct from the tip-only browning more commonly seen with water quality issues.

Potential Causes

  1. 1Low humidity causing more widespread edge drying beyond just the tips
  2. 2More severe or prolonged underwatering than typical tip browning
  3. 3Fertiliser burn from over-concentrated feeding affecting a larger portion of the leaf

Solution Steps

  3. 3Flush the soil to clear excess fertiliser salts if a recent feeding seems connected to the timing
