Root Rot in Kiwi Vines

Commonly affects: Actinidia deliciosa, A. chinensis (Kiwi)

The vine wilts and declines despite adequate watering, with roots appearing brown, soft, and mushy rather than firm and white when checked.

Potential Causes

  1. 1Phytophthora fungus thriving in waterlogged, poorly-draining soil

  3. 3Overwatering, especially in already poorly-draining planting sites

Solution Steps
